A couple of the neck covers I have are Ebay or Amazon purchases, that do the same as the name brands, and could possibly be the same material, and frankly all of it seems to be imported anyway.Welcome to Doo Rag Nation the #1 online shop in the U.S.A for its head apparel. ![]() IMO, Buff, Do Rag & some of these other brands are likely a similar material and way over priced for what they are. If they had a do rag, I might give them a try. One brand is "32 Degrees", and they're very reasonable in price. I think they help with the sweating overall. They're made in types that are meant to keep me cooler and some meant to retain heat in the colder temps. I've mostly just worn cotton or polyester shirts, but I like these other shirts. My wife, Donna, bought me some shirts years ago, that were a synthetic fiber that wicks away moisture. I give a little more consideration to shirts. None have been expensive, $12 each or less. When they get worn out I toss them, but I wear hats until they're falling apart. My head is like a cue ball, so I sweat and the hats absorb it. I've got some of the buff/gator neck coverings but have never given do rags any thought. Most are a camo pattern, since that's the SC state color! I own over 30 hats that I might wear fishing, trucker/baseball types, and boonie types. You will thank me for this.Īs far as SPF protection the Bandana does not allow sunlight through like a cotton Tshirt. I shave in the shower and just use soap and the water softens things and will extend the blades life. Never had an Electric get very close and the cracks were even worse. ![]() I used Harry's and gillettes 5 blade and they shave nice but load up quickly and are hard to clean. Any razor can shave the face but the head is quite different. Nothing shaves the head as close as the Defender and no cuts. Then I found the Defender Razor online and all that ended. I shaved with a Trac 3 Gillette for many years and struggled with the cracks on the back of my neck and even used Nair to get that. I have moderate tremors and I'm a little hesitant to take a straight razor to my head cause I'm afraid I'll chop off an earīut if that's what it takes to get the fully clean look I'll attempt it. It gets really close but it leaves that "shadow" look on my head. I've been using a Pitbull Skull Shaver rotary shaver. Odd but related question for Larry or Do you get a fully clean and completely bald head? If so, do you use a bladed razor or straight razor when shaving your head? I have an assortment of Doo-Rags, bandanas and skull caps (Thanks FD on the skull caps) but only the skull caps have SPF and I've already got a sunburn on my head and neck from wearing just the Doo-Rags.
